BlackRock – The Rescue operation

– What is BlackRock?

BlackRock is an American global investment management corporation based in New York City.

As of March 31, 2019, BlackRock’s assets under management totaled $6.4 trillion across equity, fixed income, cash management, alternative investment, real estate and advisory strategies.

The firm manages assets for clients in North and South America, Europe, Asia, Australia, the Middle East and Africa. It employs around 14,900 talented professionals and maintains offices in 30 countries around the world.

The Problem

BlackRock is well known for Risk management. One of its portfolio banks was facing an uphill battle in the UK because of two reasons.                             

  1. Old banks with deep roots and stronghold. 
  2. Rise of challenger banks (like Revolut and Monzo)
    The market is saturated and acquiring customers was hard. 

The bank was losing its market share due to competition. They desperately wanted help. So, they went to the world’s biggest asset manager for help. BlackRock!

 Why?

Because BlackRock had a stake in the bank. And it’s very defensive about its assets. 

They wanted a solution. And they wanted it fast!

Swaymass used its extensive database to fetch data of UK citizens. Created a subdirectory of potential customers containing demographics, psychographics and financial data sets such as credit scores.

Final Result

Strong Brand Awareness and acquisition of 35% additional customers within the first 37 days of launch. A strong foothold and proven scalable system to acquire additional customers.
